Praise for past productions:

Smokescreen, 2008:
“We absolutely loved Smokescreen!
It was well written and presented.
The kids enjoyed it and our administrators were impressed.
Please keep me informed of your new productions coming out, because this one was great!”
Theresa Laville, St. Basil/Jean Forest Leadership Academy

Routes, 2009:
“The play covered many contemporary topics for teens on many levels. The actor engaged and captivated our students, creating opportunities for conversations and questions in the follow up classes.”
Mike Reece, Counsellor George McDougall High School, Airdrie

“The theme of bullying and trying to be invisible was really thought provoking.”
High School Student Hepburn School, Saskatoon

Under Cover is a play that explores the challenges faced by teenagers of Middle Eastern descent in Canada. Ella is just like any other student you might see wandering the halls of a Canadian High School. When Ella makes a decision to wear the hijab, it becomes obvious to everyone that she is Muslim, and suddenly her faith is front and centre. Faith, respect and acceptance are all questioned when even Ella’s best friends have some unexpected reactions.

Curriculum Ties: SOCIAL STUDIES: Pluralism: Diversity and Cohesion; Issues for Canadians: Governance and Rights; globalization; expressing identities.
LANGUAGE ARTS: General Outcome 1 and 2.

60 minutes with a 5-10 minute Q & A.
