2019 New Play Festival for Kids!
Sprouts is devoted to the organic principle that the theatrical repertoire grows when new scripts are fed and watered. Already, the festival, the only one of its kind in the country, has a roster of contagious successes…

About the Plays:
Camping by David Cheoros
Nikki is SO mad that her mom has taken her camping, making her miss her best friend’s birthday. She meets a man in the woods – a man knocked out of his time as a prisoner of the Ukrainian Internment a century ago – and comes away with a new appreciation of her family.
The Slug Life of Doug and Sami by April Banigan
The world is very scary for Doug. He feels small and vulnerable. Quiet is his favorite thing. He is a slug, after all. Then he meets Sami. Sami is loud and brave and does all sort of things that slugs aren’t supposed to do. Sometimes the things that make you different are the things that make you kind of magical. A story of friendship and fears, superpowers and slime.
Keiko & the Kappa by Morgan Yamada
Keiko’s favourite part of any celebration is definitely the food! See how Keiko learns that family traditions, stories and food can teach us some pretty interesting lessons!
